Policy
Equality, Inclusion & Diversity
At Naked Ideas, equality, inclusion and diversity are central to how we work.
- Equality means ensuring everyone has the same opportunities to fulfil their potential, free from discrimination.
- Inclusion means creating a workplace where everyone feels able to be themselves and their contribution is valued.
- Diversity means celebrating the individual differences that strengthen our team.
We are committed to actively supporting equality, diversity and inclusion, and to ensuring that all employees are valued and treated with dignity and respect.
This policy applies to all job applicants, employees and workers, including agency staff, across every area of employment such as recruitment, selection, training, career development and promotion. These areas will be monitored, and policies amended if necessary, to prevent any unfair or unlawful discrimination.
Responsibilities
- Managers and supervisors are responsible for eliminating discrimination and ensuring equal opportunities.
- Every employee is responsible for treating others with dignity and respect and applying this policy in their work.
Commitments
- Recruitment, training, development and promotion will be based solely on relevant skills, aptitudes and abilities.
- No individual will be treated less favourably because of any protected characteristic under the Equality Act 2010: race (including colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin, caste), religion or belief, disability, sex, sexual orientation, pregnancy or maternity, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, or age.
- No one will be disadvantaged because of trade union membership or non-membership, or because they are a part-time or fixed-term worker.
- Agencies and private contractors will be made aware of this policy and reminded of their own responsibilities to promote equality.
Your role
You can contribute by:
- Not discriminating against colleagues, clients, suppliers or the public in the course of your duties
- Not inducing or attempting to induce others to practise unlawful discrimination
- Reporting any discriminatory action or behaviour to a Director
Breaches of this policy, including acts of unlawful discrimination, may result in disciplinary action. If you believe you are a victim of discrimination, you can raise the issue through the grievance procedure.
We will continue to implement this policy in line with statutory requirements and best practice guidance, and to review it regularly to ensure it remains effective.
