Our social and environmental responsibility

Our impact

The world has evolved since Naked Ideas opened its doors in 2003, and we’re evolving with it.

We believe business should be a force for good, and we try to demonstrate that belief every day. We were the second creative agency to achieve B Corp certification back in 2018, and that commitment still shapes how we work today.

We support fair pay as a Living Wage Employer, back campaigns like the Better Business Act, and are part of movements including Includability and Design Declares. We cut our carbon footprint through hybrid working, offset and fund climate projects, and even encourage low-carbon travel with extra leave. And through volunteering and pro bono projects, we give our time and skills to charities and causes that matter.

Community for encouraging inclusive and supportive workplaces

Giving back

We aim to be sustainable and inclusive in everything we do. That’s why we run a team volunteer programme, giving everyone paid time off to support environmental and social causes close to their hearts. We also take on pro bono creative work for charities and invite anyone with a project in mind to get in touch via our contact form.

Social impact

  • We’re part of the Includability community, helping build inclusive and mentally healthy workplaces. We share their belief that great businesses put people, purpose, and progress at the heart of what they do.
  • We support the Better Business Act, which campaigns to ensure every UK company aligns its interests with those of wider society and the environment.
  • We’re proud to be a Living Wage Employer and back the Living Wage Foundation’s campaign to provide a fair standard of living for all workers.
  • We’ve also joined the Design Declares movement: a growing group of creative organisations responding to the climate and ecological emergency. We’re committed to putting environmental impact at the centre of our decision-making, choosing ethical and sustainable methods to help heal our world.

Environmental impact

Because we’re mindful of our environmental impact, we’ve moved to hybrid working to cut down on commuting. We calculate and offset our carbon emissions through ClimatePartner projects, from providing clean drinking water in Asia, to cookstoves for families in India and planting resilient mixed woodland in the UK. We also support forest protection and replanting initiatives through Ecologi.

We’re conscious of the impact of travel, too. Through Sustainable Travel Leave, we offer paid leave for ‘slow travel’. When our team chooses a lower-impact way to get away, such as train or bus instead of flying, they receive that extra time back as holiday allowance, knowing they’re reducing their carbon footprint.
