Challenge
itsu wanted to expand beyond restaurants and enter the grocery market with a range of healthy, Asian-inspired snacks. They needed to build awareness, connect directly with customers and create momentum to support retail listings in major supermarkets.
Outcome
We designed and built the itsu Grocery e-commerce platform, giving customers a new way to discover and buy the products. To build engagement and gather insight, we created space for customers to share reviews, tips and reactions in real time, turning the platform into a social as well as transactional space. We also introduced an in-store product rating system to encourage transparency and strengthen trust, connecting the digital and physical experience.
Results
The platform delivered strong performance and valuable customer insight, supporting a national retail rollout. itsu secured listings in Sainsbury's, Tesco and Waitrose, alongside distribution through Ocado and Amazon. Today, itsu's grocery range has national presence with £60m+ turnover in a new category.
